This page offers the ability to directly provide the Illinois State Police with information about general criminal activity, wanted individuals, or crimes that are already being investigated. When you submit a tip through this site, you can remain anonymous or provide your contact information so that investigators can follow up with additional questions. Please be as specific as possible to give investigators the best opportunity to follow up on your tip.
NOTE: This form IS NOT for reporting emergencies or in-progress incidents and will not invoke an immediate police response.
If you wish to report an incident currently in progress and you need police assistance, call 9-1-1 immediately!
Provide as much information with as many specific details as you can.
Tips can be submitted anonymously, but for maximum effectiveness please include your name and contact information in your submission so an investigator can follow up with you.

Forms submitted will be encrypted. If you wish to remain anonymous, please do not add personal information to your submission. Some forms do not allow anonymous submission. By submitting information into the form you provide the right, in perpetuity, for the applicable public safety organization to use and retain the submitted information without restriction. Any such data provided will be subject to applicable privacy and other laws in the jurisdiction where it is provided, and also subject to any privacy policies in place with the applicable public safety organization.
