ISP Investigative Tips
Welcome to the Illinois State Police Investigative Tips webpage!
Very seldom does the commission of a crime go unseen. If you have any information regarding general criminal activity, wanted individuals, or crimes that are already being investigated, please contact the appropriate law enforcement authorities, or send an e-mail to ISP.CRIMETIPS@illinois.gov. When you submit a tip through this email, you can remain anonymous or provide your contact information so investigators can follow up with additional questions. Please be as specific as possible to give investigators the best opportunity to follow up on your tip. This email is NOT for reporting emergencies or in-progress incidents and will not invoke an immediate police response. If you wish to report an incident currently in progress and you need police assistance, call 9-1-1 immediately! Provide as much information with as many specific details as you can. Tips can be submitted anonymously by calling your local ISP Troop, but for maximum effectiveness please include your name and contact information in your submission so an investigator can follow up with you.
